Snappool Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 July 2026
Snappool ("we", "us") is an event photo and video sharing service operated by Thoplo Technology, available at snappool.net and as a mobile app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up with email or Google Sign-In we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
- Content you upload. Photos and videos you add to events, event names and descriptions, and related metadata (such as capture time).
- Payment information. Storage pack purchases are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we keep only a record of the transaction (amount, date, pack purchased).
- Diagnostics. Crash reports and basic device information via Firebase Crashlytics, used solely to find and fix bugs.
How we use information
- To provide the service: storing your media, compiling event albums and slideshows, and sharing them with people you invite.
- To process purchases and manage your storage quota.
- To send service emails such as password reset codes.
- To keep the service reliable and secure.
We do not sell your personal information or use your photos and videos for advertising or for training AI models.
Sharing
- People in your events. Media you upload to an event is visible to others who have access to that event via its link or QR code. Choose who you share event links with carefully.
- Service providers. We use trusted providers to run Snappool: cloud hosting, Backblaze B2 (media storage), Stripe (payments), and Google Firebase (sign-in and crash reporting). They process data only on our behalf.
- Legal. We may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention and deletion
Your content is kept while your account is active. You can delete individual photos and videos, whole events, or your entire account at any time from the app (You → Danger zone → Delete account). Deleting your account permanently removes your account and every event you own, including all uploaded media. This cannot be undone.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Media is stored in access-controlled storage and served through time-limited signed URLs.
Children
Snappool is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
